About The Position

Forcepoint is a global company simplifying security for businesses and governments. Our cloud-native platform helps organizations adopt Zero Trust and prevent data loss. We are seeking an Indirect Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement team. This role will execute end-to-end buying activities for categories such as Marketing, Cloud, Technology, Professional Services, and other indirect categories. The specialist will follow and contribute to category strategies, undertake process improvements to enhance operational efficiencies, and support the company's strategies and operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent
  • Eagerness to learn, develop, and grow with an open mind
  • Strong career growth mindset
  • 2-4 years of work experience in purchasing/procurement department
  • Strong problem-solving, quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret data and develop insights for high-volume/complex data sets
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office software

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in supporting Marketing is a plus.
  • Experience with Workday Strategic Sourcing or similar ERP systems is a strong plus.
  • Strong knowledge of P2P (Procure to Pay) daily process is a strong plus.
  • Comfort with or curiosity about AI tools is a plus.
  • Encouraged to use platforms such as the Forcepoint Intelligence Platform and Claude AI to streamline workflows, analyze spend data, and drive efficiencies across the procurement function.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established category strategies, business strategies, and processes to complete purchasing transactions.
  • Review, verify, and attain approvals for requisitions.
  • Resolve issues according to established standards.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Issue purchase orders.
  • Resolve relevant issues.
  • Contribute to process optimization, category strategy refresh, and cross-functional projects.
  • Contribute to operational excellence in areas like P2P, Vendor Management, Travel, Reporting, and analytics.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and address vendor performance issues.
  • Liaise between Procurement and other corporate functional areas (Finance & Accounting, Legal, Facilities, IT, Sales & Marketing, Operations, and Engineering).
  • Analyze past and present spend data.
  • Manage small projects and meet timelines.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and concise reports, specifications, correspondence, and other written materials.
