About The Position

KP LLC is looking for a Procurement Specialist on our production team. The Procurement Specialist manages the full procurement process to ensure the timely acquisition of materials and supplies, optimal inventory levels, and vendor performance that meets company standards for cost, quality, and delivery. This role works closely with internal teams and suppliers to support production efficiency, cost control, and customer commitments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) plus 2 – 4 years of related work experience in purchasing, supply chain or materials management.
  • 2+ years working with Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar MRP systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
  • Strong verbal, written, and listening skills; able to follow SOPs and detailed instructions.
  • Effective time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Comfortable working extensively in MRP systems and able to demonstrate a full understanding of procurement workflows.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Open to adopting new technologies and processes.
  • Proactive problem-solver with clear communication of issues and solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of print, mail, or fulfillment operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase and oversee all paper, supplies, and packaging for assigned division(s).
  • Monitor and manage orders to ensure on-time delivery and fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate procurement-related data in the company MRP system, including due dates, part numbers, prices, and purchase order statuses.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels in alignment with operational needs.
  • Resolve delivery exceptions to protect customer commitments and production schedules.
  • Manage open purchase order lines through to completion.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with vendors.
  • Evaluate vendor performance using the company’s vendor scorecard process.
  • Provide Production, Client Services, and Sales teams with vendor-related technical information and support.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet departmental and company objectives.
