About The Position

The Procurement Specialist for Primoris Energy Services will be responsible for the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for Primoris Energy Services' operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and project requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably within the energy, construction, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • CPM or other relevant professional certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end procurement processes, including requisition review, negotiation, purchase order issuance, and contract management for materials, equipment, and services.
  • Source and pre-qualify new vendors, assessing their capabilities, financial stability, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, and other internal stakeholders to understand project needs and specifications.
  • Monitor supplier performance, address any discrepancies or issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and analyze procurement reports, identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement policies, procedures, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and vendor records.
  • Participate in strategic sourcing initiatives and contribute to the development of procurement strategies.
  • Resolve disputes and claims with suppliers in a timely and effective manner.
