Essential duties and responsibilities for the Procurement Specialist include, but are not limited to: Manage and administer the subcontract life cycle process for assigned projects Support S&L clients in their procurement processes Draft, assemble and issue request for proposal (RFP) packages to suppliers / subcontractors Negotiate and finalize terms and conditions, including those related to indemnities, warranties, liabilities, pricing, schedule, etc. Create purchase orders in Client or S&L’s internal vendor management systems Track material orders, deliveries in vendor management systems Expedite suppliers / subcontractors / engineering input, as appropriate Coordinate and work closely with engineering project managers, suppliers, contractors, subcontractors and client personnel Assist in evaluation of proposals from suppliers / subcontractors Perform risk assessments on potential and existing subcontracts Monitor and evaluate contract performance Record keeping / document control with audit involvement Processing vendor invoices for payment
