About The Position

We are seeking a versatile and highly organized Procurement Specialist to support procurement for a Project based position from our Head Office Location in Haileybury, ON. This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials, tools, equipment, and rentals flow efficiently to support construction activities.

Requirements

Experience as a Buyer or similar role.
Knowledge of purchasing processes and equipment rental operations.
Previous experience in mining, industrial, or heavy construction environments preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic spreadsheet/databases for tracking.
Excellent communication and people interaction skills.
Valid driver’s license (for local supplier pickups).
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced site environment.
Commitment to safety procedures, PPE requirements, and working within a busy industrial setting.

Responsibilities

Source, evaluate, & purchase required equipment & materials with an emphasis on maximizing efficiencies & minimizing costs.
Qualify suppliers, issue requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, negotiate contracts while executing risk management strategies.
Manages the acquisition of goods, services, or materials needed for business operations, focusing on cost-efficiency, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation.
Identify suppliers, conduct market research, process purchase orders, and monitor compliance with company policies.
Ensure high-quality, cost-effective purchasing.
