The Opportunity This role will support the procurement team by handling daytoday purchasing activities and coordinating program activities.The role will also be responsible for cost analyses and financial reporting by gathering, analyzing, and quantifying cost data. As a key partner to crossfunctional teams, this position will help ensure the division meets its broader sourcing and financial objectives. What You'll Work On

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of procurement or functional experience.
  • Experience with database tools, data visualization and strong MS Excel desired.
  • Able to work under pressure and achieve tight timelines.
  • Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset to achieve positive results.
  • Creative thinking; strong ability to think outside of the box and bring alternative or innovative ideas to the table.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews supplier quotes for accuracy and creates supplier comparison reports that include various factors such as price, performance, project costs, tooling cost, and other metrics that are needed to make key supplier decisions.
  • Creates purchase requisitions and internal approval forms and ultimately places Purchase Orders (PO) and manages the PO maintenance until it is closed to include invoice payment.
  • Leads and executes assigned projects to assure all procurement activities are performed as required, including but not limited to ad hoc reporting, SOWs/RFI's/Ordering documents, etc., assisting with supplier selection, etc.
  • Works with inventory management/warehouse management to resolve issues.
  • Lead special projects as requested to reduce cost, increase efficiency, etc.
  • May process some or all of the following: rejected components/corrective action, returns, debit memos, etc.
  • Maintaining and enhancing relationships with user departments to implement improvements in the supply chain to reduce lead times, inventory and material liabilities.
  • Prepare detailed reports, both periodically and ad-hoc.
  • Serve as the owner of financial cost reporting and support Senior Management and key stakeholders to gain understanding of key revenue and cost drivers.
  • Provide value-added quantifications of purchase price variances and manufacturing costs.
  • Ensure costs and pricing within the cost tracking system are accurate and timely.
  • Provide analyses to support key business changes that impact the division.
  • Create cost models to help estimate and project future expenses.
  • Collaborate with category managers to maintaining visibility to materials costs and identify key business cost drivers.
  • Maintains compliance and supports all company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Corporate and division policies, procedures, processes and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures that all communications, actions, interactions and behaviors are consistent with ADC core values and the Abbott Code of Conduct.
