About The Position

Quadra Chemicals is seeking a Procurement Specialist for its Industrial Division to split time between the Formulated Adhesives Group and the CASE Group. This role is responsible for placing replenishment orders with existing suppliers to ensure business continuity and enhance the customer experience, while minimizing inventory carrying costs and associated risks. The ideal candidate will thrive in a digital technology environment, possess strong experience in inventory analysis and procurement, and have a proven ability to build strong supplier relationships. Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in procurement, inventory control, or supply chain.
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce).
  • Experience working with SAP or JD Edwards is a strong asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate, understand requirements, and influence decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for detail.
  • Possess a growth mindset, being self-motivated and having a solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Excited to contribute towards a high-performance culture, accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including issuing purchase orders for chemical products, tracking deliveries, and inventory management.
  • Proactively implement measures to minimize aging inventory.
  • Foster strong and seamless communication between the commercial team and dedicated Product Managers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Diligently reconcile complex supplier invoices monthly, ensuring accuracy and clarity in financial transactions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and quality documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • In collaboration with Product Managers, stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, sales trends, and best practices in procurement.
  • Review and take action on weekly profit/loss reports; collaborate on cost-saving initiatives and optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
  • Handle data entry across multiple platforms.
