This position reports to the Director of Procurement and Travel or the Procurement Manager and is responsible for special projects assigned by them. The role involves analyzing purchasing patterns and history to determine cost-saving measures and processing various purchase transactions. It also includes managing the capital equipment process, assisting with the procurement card program, and troubleshooting issues within Workday. The Specialist ensures that standard methodologies are followed for all processes, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting, and that records are maintained as required. Compliance with Arkansas State Laws, DFA Policies, UA System Policies, and UAMS policies and procedures is essential.
