About The Position

This is a second-tier level position responsible for being a liaison between the direct fulfillment program manager, demand planners, and the DSV fulfillment site. The role involves ensuring commitments are met within product lead times, resolving delays, managing delivery order lead times, and expediting SAP delivery orders. It also includes reviewing customer build/ship plans, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, managing dock operations and personnel, serving as a backup for the build supervisor, and assisting with new building startups. The position requires coordinating with local customer teams and construction, compiling data for manager meetings, identifying areas for financial and efficiency improvements, and coordinating inbound/outbound material with warehouse personnel. Additionally, the role involves managing work tickets for material movement, assisting with onboarding new material planners, improving training documentation, and supporting payroll/HR issues and the interview process. The role also includes administering OTJ training sessions and developing new training opportunities.

Requirements

  • Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • Generally, prefer 5+ years of related experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all commitments from the various demand planning groups are within the agreed upon product lead times
  • Resolve delays in providing the needed material within the agreed upon timeline
  • Manage the lead times of all delivery orders placed on behalf of the customer and report any issues with lead times
  • Expedite SAP delivery orders to the site with assistance from internal and external partners
  • Review the customer’s build/ship plans ensuring the plan will meet the commitments based on the delivery dates
  • Identify areas of opportunity to help promote continuous improvement projects by putting together a project plan, proposal, and seeing the project through to completion
  • Manage dock operations for the site by ensuring all safety procedures are followed, training documentation is current/audited, and material is dispositioned and tracked correctly
  • Manage dock leads during business hours and ensure he/she can follow all processes and procedures for the site
  • Serve in a backup role for the build’s supervisor
  • Gain an understanding of all systems, spreadsheets, and processes with the goal of running the department when the supervisor is not at the site
  • Assist with the startup of new buildings by ensuring all safety procedures are followed, and all temporary/permanent areas are set up for daily operations with minimal supervision
  • Coordinate with local customer teams and construction on building startup projects and deliveries
  • Compile and prepare data for manager meetings and can present data concisely
  • Identify areas of improvement around material that can lead to financial and efficiency improvements
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel in the planning and prioritization of all inbound and outbound material at the customer’s site
  • Manage work tickets for the movement of material at the customer’s site and back to the warehouse so it can be re-inventoried
  • Assist with the onboarding for new material planners at the site and at other sites to help promote a smooth transition into the role
  • Manage and improve training documentation to promote success in the role and its responsibilities
  • Assist with payroll/HR issues and interview process when needed
  • Administer OTJ training sessions for team members and develop new training opportunities
