As a Procurement Specialist III for Greenheck Group, you will strategically manage complex procurement processes, optimize costs, and ensure the organization's procurement activities contribute to its overall success and competitiveness in the market. Responsibilities include leading complex procurement projects and larger-scale purchasing activities. Requirements

  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience in procurement/buying required.
  • 4 Year / Bachelor Degree in business, supply chain or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required.
  • Prior hands-on SAP experience in a procurement environment required. Must be capable of applying SAP knowledge to support implementation, process development, data readiness, user adoption, and stabilization of purchasing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general purchasing support (place PO's, follow up with suppliers, communicate to BU's) to support production requirements and risk mitigation.
  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers/categories assigned to the Buyer desk. This includes pricing, packaging/shipping, identifying potential suppliers, contract terms, quality, and all other aspects of the procurement program.
  • Manage key suppliers by leading negotiations for favorable pricing and build long-term partnerships. Including accountability for acknowledging daily purchase order confirmations from suppliers and proactively sharing any discrepancies with the appropriate teams.
  • Lead the coordination between production scheduling, sales and engineering departments to obtain information, resolve problems and identify purchasing requirements for new or redesigned products or special projects.
  • Lead in the identification and development of alternate sources of supply for key parts and materials.
  • Lead the identification and collaboration activities across the company to support new developments in material, equipment and techniques with other departments and delegating initiatives to team and key stakeholders.
  • Support all levels of the organization as it relates to their involvement in the procurement of goods through the supply chain. These groups include, but are not limited to: material specialists, engineering, accounting, buying/planning, sales and operations.
  • Manage key supplier relationships and lead technical/strategic issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Lead special projects, critical department KPI's and initiatives in support of corporate goals.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of procurement SOPs and material specifications for purchased parts; partner cross-functionally to establish and maintain specifications for purchased parts and materials that support consistent quality, supplier accountability, cost management, and continuity of supply.
