About The Position

To serve as an intermediate-level Procurement Specialist within the Contract Research Organization (CRO). This position is suitable for individuals with a bachelor's degree and some experience in procurement, offering increased responsibilities and autonomy as an individual contributor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Business -OR- related field with 2-4+ years’ experience -OR- Master's Degree -OR- equivalent in Chemistry, Business -OR- related field with 2+ years’ experience -OR- Ph.D. -OR- equivalent in Chemistry, Business -OR- related field with 0+ years’ experience
• Intermediate understanding of procurement processes and strategic sourcing.
• Proficiency in contract negotiation and vendor management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience within a Contract Research Organization, drug development, mass spectrometry, bioanalysis, or a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage end-to-end procurement processes.
• Develop and manage relationships with key vendors.
• Independently negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers.
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of comprehensive procurement documentation.
• Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other Procurement team members on complex projects.
