About The Position

The Procurement Specialist I provides operational support to procurement program teams, helping deliver value to clients through transaction and sourcing processes and providing visibility and insight into services spend. The role supports procurement processes, client Statements of Work (SOWs) and resource assignments, supplier coordination, customer service, reporting, stakeholder communication, and risk management.

The position must be performed in a hybrid capacity at the Troy, Michigan office. It is open to North America locations outside California, Colorado, New Jersey, New York, Washington, and Maryland.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of contract terms and the relationships between MSAs, SOWs, and Purchase Orders.
• Previous experience in client-facing roles or service provider responsibilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and e-Procurement tools.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for procurement processes and services spend visibility.
• Assist clients with Statements of Work (SOW) and resource assignments.
• Maintain and update monthly activity and performance reports.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding price, delivery schedules, and project terms.
• Manage primary customer support, including quality review and timekeeping or milestone tracking.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
• Respond to client questions and escalate issues as needed.
• Manage client expectations through proactive communication.
• Engage internal stakeholders on business objectives and technology enhancements.
• Identify and coordinate risk situations with management.
• Ensure projects are closed in the system at the end of engagements.
