This role is responsible for planning, negotiating, and procuring the most cost-effective products and services for MTC Corporate and site operations in compliance with company policies & procedures and management & prime contract directives. Assists in the evaluation of contracts and provides assistance to personnel. This role must be performed in-office at our headquarters in Centerville, Utah.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or intent to obtain a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, accounting, or other related field.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, accounting, or business management may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.
  • Must be willing and able to travel.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a thorough knowledge of computer application software (word processing, spreadsheet, and other business software technology).
  • Unless waived by management, a valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record is required.

Responsibilities

  • Procurement policies and procedures in accordance with government, management, and contract requirements, as applicable.
  • Obtain and audit vendor insurance, licensing and certification documentation.
  • In conjunction with procurement team, select optimal suppliers for contracting and standardizing products and services; manage long-term supplier relationships.
  • Assist in the compilation and submittal of reports to government entities and for internal use.
  • Consolidate the number of supplier relationships in direct support of established commodity strategies and to maximize pricing efficiency, quality, and service while reducing administration costs.
  • Assist in purchasing audits and summarize results to be used in employee training.
  • Review and evaluate supplier performance on a regular basis creating a recovery plan with the supplier when necessary.
  • Maintain and update files in an electronic contract management system.
  • Prepare and administer purchase orders and contracts for supplies, equipment, service, repairs, utilities, rehab work, lease/rental and other types of procurements as assigned.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and adherence of all contractual terms and conditions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
