This position supports the procurement of goods and services while ensuring compliance with state laws, policies, and procedures. You will collaborate with staff, manage purchasing documents, and assist in developing effective sourcing strategies. As a Procurement Specialist 1, you will perform the following duties: Procurement Coordination: Manage purchasing activities, monitor vendor compliance, and recommend corrective actions when needed. Requirements Gathering: Work with agency teams to identify needs and develop sourcing strategies for goods and services. Policy Application: Apply procurement laws, regulations, and policies to ensure proper purchasing procedures. System Management: Use systems such as SAP, SRM, ESS, and JAGGAER to prepare, track, and manage procurement documents. Contract Oversight: Review bids, assist in negotiations, and monitor contract renewals and compliance. Operational Support: Provide guidance to staff, support small business initiatives, and resolve delivery or invoice issues.
