About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, the Indirect Sourcing Specialist supports the procurement of goods and services required to operate the business. The role is responsible for category sourcing, supplier management, contract support, cost savings, service improvement, and supply risk mitigation. You will partner with internal stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing solutions across indirect spend categories, including: Operations and Facilities (MRO, equipment, maintenance, utilities, waste management, and site services) and Corporate and Supply Chain Services (IT, professional services, temporary labour, logistics, office supplies, and other indirect requirements).

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of procurement or sourcing experience; manufacturing, CPG, retail, or distribution experience is preferred
  • Experience sourcing indirect goods and services and managing competitive RFX processes
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, project management, and commercial skills
  • Working knowledge of contracts, supplier performance management, and procure-to-pay processes
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP or cloud-based procurement tools
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organization, and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Beauty, Personal Care, Pharmaceutical, Food, or a regulated manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field; SCMP, CPSM, APICS, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing initiatives by defining requirements, assessing the market, evaluating options, and recommending solutions
  • Develop and execute category strategies using spend data, market intelligence, supplier capabilities, and business needs
  • Manage competitive RFX processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract renewals with Legal and key stakeholders
  • Identify and deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, service improvements, and process efficiencies
  • Manage supplier performance, relationships, risk, and corrective action plans
  • Analyze spend, pricing, total cost of ownership, and business cases to support data-driven decisions
  • Support supplier onboarding, qualification, documentation, and procurement system requirements
  • Maintain sourcing records, agreements, supplier information, and contingency plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align priorities, timelines, specifications, and implementation plans
