About The Position

As a Procurement Project Manager, you will serve as the technical liaison between the organization and the Central Procurement Office (CPO) assisting in the development of proposals for bids while maintaining the interests of the State's Procurement policies and procedures. This position will administer procurement activities from development and implementation of the sourcing strategy through award of the contract, which includes identifying agency needs, drafting solicitations, aid CPO in executing procurements and aid CPO in the state evaluation. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work with multiple schedules. This position requires excellent project and time management capabilities.

Requirements

  • Possesses and demonstrates strong knowledge of policies, procedures and execution strategy for multiple solicitation methods including Request for Proposal, Request for Qualification, and Request for Information.
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • 5 to 10 years of business, procurement, and/or contract management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical liaison between the organization and the Central Procurement Office (CPO).
  • Assist in the development of proposals for bids while maintaining the interests of the State's Procurement policies and procedures.
  • Administer procurement activities from development and implementation of the sourcing strategy through award of the contract.
  • Identify agency needs.
  • Draft solicitations.
  • Aid CPO in executing procurements.
  • Aid CPO in the state evaluation.
  • Develops and assists divisions in solicitation specifications based on internal and external sources of information.
  • Regularly represents and the division of Grants and Contracts while speaking with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides strategic advice and consultation to agency procurement and program staff to determine the proper methods of procurement as well as strategy development and execution of procurement activities.

Benefits

  • The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $60.00/hr.
