About The Position

Procurement Project Manager leads procurement activities for CAPEX projects from initiation through closeout. The role connects procurement strategy with project execution to support cost, schedule, quality, safety, compliance, and technical requirements. The position works closely with Category Managers, Engineering Project Leads, project teams, and suppliers in delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field required
  • Minimum 7 years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or project management experience required
  • Minimum 5 years supporting capital projects, engineering procurement, construction procurement, or industrial manufacturing required
  • Strong skills in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, project execution, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a cross-functional, project-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, chemical manufacturing, or regulated industries preferred
  • Experience with ERP and procurement systems, including SAP and Ariba preferred.
  • Relevant professional certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, Legal, Quality, Operations, EHS, and external suppliers/contractors.
  • Develop and execute project procurement plans aligned with project schedules and milestones.
  • Track procurement milestones, supplier performance, delivery schedules, budgets, risks, and project updates.
  • Support sourcing strategies, supplier selection, RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluations, and commercial analysis.
  • Manage contract and commercial activities, including negotiations, purchase agreements, change orders, risk mitigation, and supplier claims.
  • Prepare procurement reports, project updates, and risk assessments for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Support project startup and closeout activities, including contract administration, final settlements, and lessons learned.
