The State Procurement Services Division (SPSD) leads best-in-class procurement services through integrity, education, transparency, and innovation. We strive to administer effective and responsible procurements to maximize the value of public funds for Montana. The Department of Administration's State Procurement Services Division is looking for a Procurement Officer who solves problems and communicates exceptionally well to support the Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS). The State of Montana recently implemented a centralized procurement model built around an enterprise procurement team plus agency-based staff who work alongside the agencies they serve. In this role, you'll be a Department of Administration employee located at DPHHS, providing procurement support directly to the department. You'll be one of six procurement officers reporting to the DPHHS procurement supervisor. You would play a key role in ensuring procurements and contracts are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable laws, policies, procedures, and funding requirements. This position mentor’s DPHHS staff in procurement procedures, conducts solicitations for goods and services, and provides contract oversight and management of all assigned and on-going contracts. If you have good judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to explain complex procurement and contracting requirements to a wide range of internal stakeholders you should apply! In this position you will be afforded the opportunity to telework, however there will be required weekly in office day(s) in Helena.
