About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Procurement Manager to join our BCA Supply Chain Functional Excellence team in Everett, Washington. This role will be responsible for managing a team of Executive Office Administrators who support Vice Presidents and Executives across BCA Supply Chain in Everett, WA. The position is responsible for all aspects of team management and ensuring the executive leadership team receives the necessary business support. This role will also oversee recognition and events across the BCA Supply Chain Organization, including large event planning such as Supplier Summit, Airshows, and support for supplier visits. The position reports to the Director, Supply Chain, Functional Excellence leader, supporting them and their organization directly. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining project timelines, tracking progress, and preparing executive-level presentations and talking points for senior leadership. This position requires strong project management, organizational, time management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning are essential for success in this fast-paced environment. This is a Level K Procurement Manager position.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high-stakes discussions
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
  • Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity.
  • Supports the Supply Chain Functional Excellence Director in day-to-day activities to support the business.
  • Integrates with other Director Analysts in the organization to ensure alignment.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
