About The Position

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions. The Procurement Lead is responsible for the synchronization of a supply chain for obtaining goods and services for the company. This role interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure quality parts are delivered, to the right place, at the right time. The Procurement Lead acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders. This role develops requests for quotations and proposals, analyzes supplier responses, negotiates and awards contracts, and manages post award supplier activities. The Procurement Lead interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers, manages inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance. This role monitors customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning and incorporates planning decisions from customers and suppliers to reduce material and product variability and arrive at optimal solutions. Assists in development and implementation of metrics, training and training materials.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Strong data analysis skills are a plus
  • Power BI expertise is a desired skill
  • Knowledge or experience in manufacturing and manufacturing processes is advantageous
  • Familiarity with MRP Systems, with preference given to SAP experience
