About The Position

TruCheck Metering Solutions has immediate openings for Entry-Level Field Technician (ERT Technician) in Wichita, KS. You will be responsible for the maintenance of gas modules, including daily driving as required by assigned geographic areas. You will also be expected to process the required data accurately and meet all required completion dates. Comprehensive, step-by-step training will be provided to ensure comfort with the process and a solid understanding of work expectations. The work location will vary around the Wichita, Kansas areas. This is a contracted position scheduled to complete in April 2027. After training, information will be provided on reporting locations for supplies and company vehicle pick-up. A company vehicle is provided for daily use (pick-up/drop-off).

Requirements

Pass all Operator Qualification training/testing pertaining to meter work/meter reading to proceed with employment
Primary speaking language should be English
High school diploma or GED
Required to pass background check and drug screening prior to hire
Must have a good driving record and hold a valid driver’s license
Must be able/willing to travel locally (Possible overnight travel on occasion)
Physically able to bend, squat and move heavy objects; use a pipe wrench/other hand tools; lift and reach overhead

Nice To Haves

Technical aptitude and past/former technical training are a plus
Computer or Smart Phone literate
Able to read maps and navigate congested areas in large cities
Adept at using hand tools and equipment
