About The Position

MB2 Dental is seeking a Procurement Lab Manager to join our growing team! MB2 Dental is a doctor-led Dental Partnership Organization (DPO) headquartered in Carrollton, TX. Since 2007, MB2 has partnered with more than 830 Dentist Owners and supports over 850 affiliated practices across 45 states. We are seeking a Procurement Lab Manager to own and lead our laboratory category strategy across the organization. This role will manage lab spend, relationships, contracts, performance, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• 6+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or lab management experience.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and relationship-management skills.
• Proven ability to independently manage a significant spend category and influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Dental, laboratory, healthcare, or multi-site experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Managing the full laboratory category, including spend, performance, contracts, and strategic initiatives.
• Developing and optimizing our organizations preferred lab strategy to drive savings, quality, service, and doctor adoption.
• Owning relationships with all corporate laboratory partners, including executive business reviews, negotiations, and performance management.
• Analyzing lab spend, utilization, pricing, and practice behavior to identify opportunities for consolidation, savings, and operational improvement.
• Partnering closely with Operations, Leadership, and Finance to drive preferred lab adoption and improve outcomes.
• Leading laboratory partner selection, onboarding, and governance processes.
• Building reporting, dashboards, and insights to support decision-making and measure category performance.
• Managing escalations, service issues, and accountability across the network.
• Identifying and executing strategic initiatives that improve quality, consistency, service levels, and total cost of ownership.
• Serving as a subject matter expert for the laboratory category and advising leadership on market trends, capabilities, and strategic opportunities.
