About The Position

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking talented individuals for its co-op/intern Program, which provides students with practical work experience in diverse areas of the business. This program allows students to gain a better understanding of the various job opportunities available throughout Goodyear. Participants will engage in challenging work assignments, interact with students from other universities, and learn about the business through facility tours. Goodyear leaders will guide students in considering significant business issues and career options, with opportunities to interact with the Senior Leadership Team.

Requirements

• Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration or International Business majors preferred)
• Minimum 3.0 overall GPA preferred
• Expected graduation within 1-2 years of internship
• Ability to self-manage
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excel in project work and like the sense of accomplishment that accompanies "getting things done"
• Ability to learn fast and keep up with the rapidly changing technological field
• Prefers a culture of open communication
• Detail oriented with superior analysis and problem solving skills
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Prior intern/co-op experience in related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Reviewing the market for potential suppliers
• Interacting with end-user stakeholders on requirements
• Working with suppliers to acquire what Goodyear needs
• Analyzing data for negotiation preparation
• Updating pricing and payment systems
• Working with suppliers to achieve Goodyear's supplier enablement and sustainability goals
