About The Position

As a Procurement Governance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing procurement operations across the business. You'll design and maintain governance frameworks, leverage AI and automation to improve processes, and ensure alignment with internal policies and external regulations. This role requires strong stakeholder collaboration to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable processes that drive consistency, compliance, and efficiency while also supporting day-to-day procurement operations. You'll be part of the Global Supplier Alliance (GSA) team, which oversees procurement and supplier management for both Direct and Indirect categories across ResMed's global operations. Requirements

Proven experience in process design, governance, or operations within procurement or a related function.
Strong understanding of procurement lifecycle, sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and compliance.
Hands-on experience using AI and automation tools for process improvement in procurement or supply chain functions.
Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle); ability to integrate with digital solutions.
Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with change management and training programs.
Strategic thinker with a bias for action.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity.
Collaborative and empathetic communicator.
Able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across diverse geographies and time zones.
Passion for operational excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and continuous improvement of scalable, efficient procurement processes.
Facilitate workshops and working sessions with cross-functional stakeholders to gather insights and solicit alignment.
Leverage AI, automation, and data analytics to optimize procurement workflows and enable smarter decision-making.
Design and implement governance frameworks that ensure consistency, compliance, and accountability across procurement activities with the goal of generating high integrity data.
Define clear process ownership, decision rights, and escalation protocols.
Collaborate with digital and data teams to identify and implement technology solutions-including AI and automation-to enhance procurement workflows and decision-making.
Stay informed on emerging trends in procurement technology and assess their applicability to our environment.
Act as a liaison between procurement, legal, finance, IT, and business units to ensure process alignment and integration.
Build strong relationships to drive adoption and resolve operational friction points.
Collaborate with the policy and documentation team to ensure processes are accurately captured and maintained.
Lead training and change management efforts to ensure teams understand and adopt new processes.
Monitor process performance and compliance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Champion a culture of operational excellence and continuous learning.
Supports the buying activities and associated supplier onboarding processes
Resolves purchasing related issues and partners with the business to enable smart spending
Supports other operational procurement inquiries to ensure timely resolution, enable business continuity, and promote compliance with established policies and procedures
