About The Position

As a Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for verifying quality and technical requirements for projects, products, and service deliveries from Westinghouse – from bid phase and component design through manufacturing. You will evaluate new and existing suppliers as requested by the delivery stream office, interface with customers, manage multiple projects and opportunities for AP1000, AP300, eVinci and other products within the Energy Systems Portfolio, and handle reporting. You will report to the Director, APX Supply Chain North America Projects and be located at the Cranberry Township, PA office on a hybrid basis. No relocation will be provided for this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Experience preferred in the Power Industry but could be in other highly regulated industries.
  • Familiar with Manufacturing Capability assessment concept/Supplier technical evaluation.
  • Willing to travel to support emergent project issues/supplier development.

Responsibilities

  • Champion personal, industrial, and nuclear safety while ensuring compliance with applicable procedures, standards, and Level 2/3 processes.
  • Lead supplier assessment activities, including supplier identification, audits/technical evaluations, NDA/PIA support, RFQ package development, and proposal/compliance reviews.
  • Develop manufacturing and process plan estimates to support design decisions, cost validation, and schedule planning.
  • Oversee supplier execution by managing technical witness/hold points and coordinating with Supplier Quality and project support teams.
  • Lead supplier onboarding and ongoing performance management through kick-off meetings, recurring status meetings, and project team coordination.
  • Manage procurement execution, including pre-job briefs, PO change notices, schedule updates, and customer status reporting.
  • Ensure completion of all purchase order scope, including fabrication, testing, documentation, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate quality release, documentation archiving (QR/QADP in PRIME), customer/site turnover activities, and logistics/shipment arrangements.
