About The Position

As a Procurement Consultant within the Procurement department, you will act as a strategic business partner to your clients in matters of procurement, supplier management, and risk management. You will analyze business needs to define and implement optimal procurement strategies for the acquisition of goods and services. You will contribute to the development of a high-performing supplier ecosystem that meets the organization's requirements, while managing several procurement files of varying complexity. You will also participate in the continuous improvement of procurement practices and processes, as well as in the preparation of contracts, tenders, bid analysis, and negotiations with suppliers, leveraging technological tools and artificial intelligence solutions where relevant. Through your strategic thinking, analytical skills, and judgment, you will assess business needs to define and implement optimal procurement strategies. You will play an influential role with stakeholders and leverage your negotiation skills to support the organization's objectives, while simultaneously managing several files of varying complexity.

Requirements

  • Hold a first-cycle university degree in business administration (preferably with a specialization in supply chain management), law, or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the procurement of technological solutions, professional services, or critical suppliers.
  • Advanced proficiency in French, both spoken and written, as well as advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written, due to the nature of the tasks, work tools, or interactions with English-speaking colleagues, partners, clients, or suppliers, or to meet the company's growth objectives.

  • Knowledge of supplier risk management frameworks and third-party governance (an asset).

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the achievement of the strategic procurement plan in alignment with the organization's business objectives and recommend the best acquisition strategies to optimize costs, service quality, maximize value creation for the organization, and ensure effective risk management.
  • Advise managers and business partners in their decision-making by presenting risks, opportunities, and recommendations related to procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to plan, define, and analyze business needs for the acquisition of goods and services within their portfolio.
  • Lead tender and acquisition processes, from planning to contract negotiation and awarding.
  • Mobilize and coordinate internal and external stakeholders involved in procurement projects to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, directives, standards, and risk management frameworks by integrating operational, financial, regulatory, reputational, and technological considerations into procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with specialized teams to support supplier and third-party governance, particularly by ensuring the integration of contractual clauses related to data protection, confidentiality, business continuity, and incident management.
  • Prepare business analyses, award recommendations, and monitoring indicators and reports for stakeholders and management.
  • Develop and maintain sustainable business relationships with suppliers, monitor contractual commitments, analyze renewals, and support negotiations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement practices by leveraging technological tools and capabilities offered by artificial intelligence to increase operational efficiency and the quality of deliverables.
