About The Position

Hitachi Digital is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to join their Global Procurement team. Reporting to the Senior Manager Global Procurement, this role will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of services for Marketing, Human Resources, Consulting, and Finance categories in the Americas, with potential for global category project execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, negotiation, and vendor management skills, with experience in complex service contract negotiation and a commitment to ethical sourcing and regulatory compliance. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, multinational environment and contribute to Hitachi Digital's digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience in Procurement sourcing and category management.
• Understanding of basic procurement law with correlating ability to negotiate/oversee: master supply agreements, professional services agreements, statements of work, change requests, amendments.
• Experience in some of the following Procurement categories: Marketing, Human Resources, Professional Services, and Financial Services.
• Demonstrated track record of leading the sourcing process, working with stakeholders across businesses and geographies.
• Proven ability to communicate, influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and must be a team player.
• Excellent negotiations skills with the ability to negotiate large volume, high risk deals independently.
• Strong supplier management skills.
• Able to navigate a fast-paced multi-national environment with personnel from all over the many regions and will seek to foster excellent working relationships.
• Must be well organized, confident in navigating demands from stakeholders, a natural self-starter with a willingness to learn and embrace new methodologies, whilst employing excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in eSourcing tool environment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategic sourcing of services for Marketing, Human Resources, Consulting, and Finance categories in the Americas.
• Manage the development and execution of sourcing projects, reverse auctions, and initiatives.
• Negotiate high-value, complex service contracts optimizing cost, mitigating risk, maximizing cash flow, and ensuring performance and compliance.
• Develop and maintain a best-in-class global preferred supply base for respective areas of responsibility.
• Manage vendor scorecards, SLAs, and escalation processes.
• Foster long-term partnerships with strategic vendors.
• Influence IT Executives and IT Senior leaders to adopt Procurement best practices in negotiations with large Software and Hardware suppliers.
• Ensure ethical sourcing and compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards.
