About The Position
Batchelor & Kimball is seeking a passionate, self-motivated, tech-savvy Procurement / Buyer to improve the timeliness and organization of construction materials and tools for commercial building projects. The role develops supply-chain logistics within Operations to improve construction timelines and supports procurement as a technology-driven, data-enabled capability. This is an on-site individual-contributor position in Conyers, Georgia; relocation assistance is not provided. The position has no direct reports and communicates with vendors, Buyers, and Project Managers about supply bottlenecks and timing, while working with vendors to deliver value, prevent supply interruptions, and resolve issues. The role calls for knowledge of logistics, storage, and warehousing; strong organization and communication skills; basic MS Word and Outlook knowledge; and advanced Excel skills. A high school diploma is required, while a college degree is preferred. Experience implementing and executing custom supply-chain and logistics strategies, along with quantitative results in supply chain, warehousing, and logistics, is required. Experience with SAP or other prominent business platforms is preferred.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Execute logistical actions and develop the supply base to support the strategy.
- Improve logistical performance to drive accurate deliveries and shorter project lead times.
- Improve materials storage and logistics in and through the warehouse.
- Build partnerships with key providers of materials and services.
- Deliver value through lead-time reduction, on-time improvement, and vendor pre-processing.
- Communicate with vendors, Buyers, and Project Managers about supply bottlenecks and timing.
- Work with vendors to drive value, prevent supply interruption, and solve issues.
