Requirements

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of inventory, planning, and manufacturing environments.
Strong math and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks based on competing priorities and to delegate when appropriate.
Ability to work cross-functionally within a team environment.
Demonstrated solutions-oriented mindset and ability to lead process improvements and develop standards/procedures.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to comply with ITAR requirements.

Nice To Haves

Procurement experience within Aerospace environment preferred.
Experience in Great Plains (GP) or similar ERP system.
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Previous experience in international logistics a plus
Knowledge in Six Sigma, Lean, or project management a plus

Responsibilities

Coordinate the full cycle purchasing and sourcing process to include supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution.
Manage all aspects of procurement to support business needs
Use expertise to drive excellence in all areas of the purchasing process
Manage and maintain accurate MRP inputs including supplier, lead times, and pricing
Responsible for the daily maintenance of supplier promise dates to ensure that the most up-to-date and accurate information is held within the supplier schedules.
Drive supplier performance, establish key performance metrics, and communicate when serious variations arise in delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale
Generate reports for On-Time Delivery (OTD) for supplier performance.
Purchase supplies and materials at the optimal price and delivery cycle while maintaining inventory turn cycles.
Adapt to changing market conditions to ensure supply chain availability and quality conformance of all purchases
Interacts closely with Program Management, Engineering, and Materials Planning to ensure all aspects of procurement is represented during project launch and execution
Responsible for on-going supplier performance improvement
Daily communication with internal customers and receiving areas
Expedite and escalate purchase part shortages as needed.
Prioritize incoming supply with Receiving and Quality teams as needed.
