About The Position

CNA National is seeking a Procurement & Supplier Manager to support sourcing initiatives, manage enterprise supplier relationships, and drive value through strong contract management and supplier performance oversight. This role is an individual contributor who partners closely with business leaders, Legal, and risk teams to ensure supplier solutions align with business needs, compliance requirements, and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of procurement expertise, contract negotiation experience, and relationship‑management skills, along with the ability to work independently across multiple initiatives. This position is based in our Scottsdale, AZ office. After completing an initial training period, the role offers a hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one day remote per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, contract administration, insurance administration, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration and supplier management practices
  • Ability to independently manage multiple initiatives and priorities
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of direct supplier relationship management experience
  • Experience developing cost/benefit analyses and business cases
  • Familiarity with third‑party risk management and compliance processes
  • Insurance industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business owners and Legal to negotiate contract terms and conditions with assigned suppliers
  • Track contract renewals, engage business sponsors, and support renegotiations due to scope or business changes
  • Monitor supplier compliance with contractual terms and service level expectations
  • Facilitate supplier selection processes, including evaluating vendor capabilities, developing comparison matrices, conducting reference checks, and coordinating site visits
  • Support the development and evaluation of Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
  • Serve as a primary liaison between the organization and assigned suppliers
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal partners and external vendors
  • Clearly define service expectations, pricing structures, and performance outcomes in supplier agreements
  • Identify opportunities for new or expanded outsourcing solutions aligned with business needs
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on supplier performance, service quality, costs, and outcomes
  • Conduct quality and performance reviews to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with business stakeholders to develop solutions and follow remediation plans through completion
  • Provide data, insights, and proposals to support strategic planning and forecasting
  • Partner with third‑party risk management teams to identify and address financial, regulatory, and operational risks
  • Serve as the Third‑Party Risk Management (TPRM) coordinator, ensuring required activities are completed and reporting is timely
  • Evaluate vendors for cyber risk exposure in coordination with cybersecurity and corporate partners
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies by reconciling internal and external data sources
  • Act as a business lead or subject‑matter expert for procurement‑related projects and initiatives
  • Monitor project progress, address challenges, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
