About The Position

The Procurement Analyst is responsible for all procurement and materials management activities within an industrial oil refinery environment. This role serves as the primary interface with the supply chain leader and collaborates closely with cross-functional partners in IT, finance, safety, legal, operations, maintenance, technical, projects, and site leadership. The Procurement Analyst develops and implements effective materials management and warehouse workflows, supports turnarounds and capital projects of varying size and complexity, and drives continuous improvement and change across procurement and supply chain processes.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience working in continuous process industries such as oil and gas refining, petrochemical, chemical processing, or similar environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience leading turnarounds and capital projects of varying size and complexity from a materials management and procurement perspective.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, Ariba, Track, and Microsoft SharePoint platforms.
  • Strong background in procurement management and materials management in an industrial setting.
  • Experience in inventory planning and inventory control.
  • Demonstrated ability to support procurement and construction-related activities.
  • Proven track record as a change agent in procurement and materials management processes.
  • Risk management experience related to supply chain, procurement, and materials management.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of relevant experience working in a continuous process industry, such as oil and gas refining, petrochemical, or chemical processing.
  • Experience developing and implementing materials management and warehouse workflows and related procedures.
  • Experience leading materials management support for turnarounds and capital projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Familiarity with industrial oil refinery operations and associated supply chain requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic industrial environment.
  • Comfort working with digital tools and platforms for procurement, inventory, and document management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all procurement and materials management activities to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
  • Act as the primary interface with the supply chain leader and collaborate with IT, finance, safety, legal, operations, maintenance, technical, projects, and refinery leadership teams.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support materials management for turnarounds and capital projects of varying size and complexity in a continuous process environment.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize materials management and warehouse workflows, procedures, and controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Oversee inventory planning and inventory control activities to maintain appropriate stock levels and minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Support procurement and construction-related purchasing activities, ensuring alignment with project schedules and operational needs.
  • Utilize SAP, Ariba, Track, Microsoft SharePoint, and related platforms to manage procurement, materials, and documentation effectively.
  • Identify and drive process improvements as a change agent in procurement and materials management, promoting best practices and standardization.
  • Apply risk management principles to procurement and materials management activities, identifying potential supply risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure materials availability for operations, maintenance, and technical teams, supporting safe and reliable plant operations.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting related to procurement, inventory, and materials management activities.
  • Support compliance with internal policies, procedures, and relevant industry standards related to procurement and materials management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to long-term supply chain strategies.
