About The Position

RTX is seeking a Procurement Analyst to join the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) procurement team. This position will be within the Product Support product line. The selected individual will be responsible for procurement efforts in support of multiple programs within the Product Support business area in a fast-pace, dynamic work environment. The role involves performing procurement and supplier management activities in support of U.S. Government and Commercial contracts, placing purchase orders of low to medium complexity and medium volume. It also includes utilizing source selection techniques, compiling and analyzing data for price analysis, conducting negotiations, and identifying supplier risks with guidance. The analyst will ensure requirements are communicated to suppliers and manage supplier performance. Collaboration with engineering, quality, and program management is key, as is monitoring procurement reports to meet company metric targets. The position requires clear communication, proactivity, flexibility, innovation, speed, agility, thoroughness, and compliance with government and Raytheon regulations. Domestic/international travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Participation in formal negotiations process such as (price, schedule, and supplier exceptions to contractual requirements)
  • Procurement experience and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
  • Experience with SAP
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal customers and suppliers
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Perform procurement and supplier management activities in support of U.S. Government and Commercial contracts.
  • Place purchase orders of low to medium complexity and medium volume.
  • Utilize source selection techniques, compile, and analyze data to perform price analysis, conduct negotiations (including terms and conditions), and identify supplier risks, with guidance as needed.
  • Ensure that requirements (prime contract, quality, terms and conditions) are properly communicated to suppliers and manage supplier performance to cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Work cross functionally with engineering, quality, and program management along with other key functional groups to ensure program needs are met.
  • Monitor procurement reports and help drive performance to meet company metric targets.
  • Communicate clearly and be proactive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be flexible, innovative, work with speed and agility yet be thorough and compliant with government and Raytheon regulations, while successfully driving tasks to completion.
  • Ability to travel domestically/internationally, if required.
