About The Position

The Procurement Analyst is a key member of the Supply Chain team, responsible for executing procurement activities and supporting materials planning to ensure the right materials are available at the right time and cost. This role manages purchasing for raw materials, packaging, and indirect supplies, while supporting inventory and materials planning to align with production schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum two to four (2–4) years of experience in procurement, planning, or broader supply chain roles
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel (e.g., v-lookups, pivot tables, basic analytics) demand analysis, and production planning
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to translate data into clear recommendations for procurement and planning decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on root cause and long-term solutions.
  • Collaborative team player who builds strong partnerships across Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Interest in growing into a more advanced planning role and taking on broader responsibility over time.

Responsibilities

  • Create, issue, and manage purchase orders for raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods based on production requirements
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings, mitigate risk, and meet service-level targets
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; track and evaluate performance for quality, delivery, and compliance.
  • Support the development and maintenance of material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchasing plans in coordination with the planning team to prevent stockouts and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and warehouse teams to align material flow with production schedules
  • Over time, assumed increased responsibility for planning activities, including deeper ownership of MRP parameters, safety stock levels, and production alignment; analyzing demand forecasts, historical usage, lead times, and inventory turns to inform procurement and planning decisions
  • Prepare reports and dashboards on inventory status, supplier performance, and cost metrics for management review
  • Identify risks, trends, and opportunities using data and recommend clear, actionable improvements
  • Ensure all procurement and planning activities comply with company policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline purchasing and planning workflows, reduce costs, and improve service and inventory performance
  • Support cross-functional projects within Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality as needed
