About The Position

PURVIS Systems is seeking a full-time Procurement Analyst/Technician to join their procurement team. This role will support US Navy System material procurement and assembly. The position involves interfacing with government and contractor personnel, as well as vendors, to manage the procurement process from list creation to shipment preparation.

Requirements

• A high school degree or GED certificate.
• 1 – 4 years general procurement experience, preferably in a government industry.
• Ability to analyze and define the program requirements and schedules.
• Proficiency with database, spreadsheets, and word processing computer skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Cable build experience is a plus.
• Experience in assembly and wiring of units are a plus.
• Experience in mechanical kit assembly is a plus.
• General working knowledge of government supply systems, programs, policies, acronyms, nomenclatures is plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of existing submarine systems, Military Specifications, and previous defense industry is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Interface with various government and contractor positions, along with vendors.
• Review of Government Furnished Information (GFI) and drawing packages to create and track procurement lists as required.
• Obtain necessary quotes and information regarding new items of supply, item characteristics, and procurement lead times.
• Receive, inspect, and stock products maintaining inventory management processes.
• Schedule shipments according to established schedules and their changes.
• Prepare products for shipment with necessary shipping documentation.
