About The Position

PURVIS Systems is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day operations on-site at a Government location in Newport, RI. This role involves maintaining mission-critical solutions for government agencies.

Requirements

• High School Education or Trade/Technical School.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of maintenance work experience.
• Familiar with hydraulic systems and maintain hydraulic system components, such as pumps, valves, actuators, vane pumps, piston pumps, gear pump and hydraulic fluids.
• Must be able to obtain a government security clearance at the SECRET level.

Nice To Haves

• Plumbing/Pipefitting experience
• Electrical circuit knowledge

Responsibilities

• Supporting pneumatic and pressurized systems, working with compressors, rotary actuators, and valves.
• Maintain mechanical piping systems, functioning as a pipe fitter.
• Maintain plumbing systems, such as water treatment systems, humidifiers, and dehumidifiers.
• Perform and update preventative and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Handles transfers of Hazmat items.
• Facility modifications and fabrication.
