About The Position

Involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies by performing the following duties.

Requirements

• Environmental training applicable to the job
• Safety training for applicable equipment
• Job instructional training
• ISO 9001 familiarization
• ISO 14001 awareness, objectives and targets, office significant environmental impacts
• Regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Frequently required to talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews requisitions.
• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items and estimates values according to knowledge of market price.
• Conducts activities associated with the procurement of raw materials with environmental review personnel to ensure that purchasing decisions are in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Maintains procurement records and expedites delivery of goods to users.
• Other duties as assigned.
