About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level or Associate Procurement Agent to join our dynamic team in Mesa, Arizona. This position integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies. It involves negotiating pricing and contract terms and conditions, preparing and executing negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements, conducting risk, issues and opportunities management, and managing supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance. The role also initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies, and communicates performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance.

Requirements

  • More than 1 year of experience in negotiating contracts or managing suppliers
  • More than 1 year of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer.
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Entry Level 1: Related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Associate Level 2: More than 1 year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Entry Level 1: Typically related work experience or relevant military experience.
  • Associate Level 2 : Typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • More than 1 year of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
  • More than 1 year of experience with proposal development and contract negotiations.
  • More than 1 year of experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts.
  • More than 1 year of experience with various contract types for example: Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus type Government contracts, etc.
  • Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
