About The Position

The Procurement Clerk 3rd Class is responsible for receiving, reviewing, labeling, arranging, and supplying goods, materials and equipment. Supply tools as requested. Processes data for incoming and outgoing products. Keep materials, equipment, and spare parts storage areas neat and clean to facilitate better tracking and to support the performance of the Procurement department. Coordinate mine-related engineering projects, including managing internal project employees, external contractors and support.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of industrial materials, spare parts, and equipment inventory
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid math skills, including basic arithmetic, fractions, decimals, and calculations involving rates, ratios, and percentages; ability to interpret charts and graphs

Nice To Haves

  • Five years of experience in stockroom operations, inventory control, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with SAP, continuous improvement (CI) processes, and physical inventories preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the Quarry Manager with assigned mine planning activities and operational processes.
  • Track incoming and outgoing spare parts, materials, and equipment.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal users and external suppliers.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, including proper handling, disposition of materials, and maintenance of accurate warehouse inventory in compliance with GCC policies.
  • Supply materials as requested and process related data daily.
  • Ensure all system data entry is accurate, complete, and properly coded for each item or spare part.
  • Receive, inspect, identify, label, and store materials and equipment in designated locations; sign supplier documentation to confirm acceptance.
  • Inspect all incoming goods for condition and specification compliance; reject or return materials that do not meet requirements.
  • Perform required inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels across all plant locations, including monthly cycle counts entered into SAP.
  • Identify potential obsolete inventory and recommend appropriate inventory levels and required item information.
  • Organize excess materials and coordinate scrap or surplus sales at the supervisor’s request.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
  • Serve as backup to the Inventory Administrator as needed.
