About The Position

The Processing Associate will efficiently process donated goods into priced, sellable merchandise. This role requires a commitment to the organization's mission and values, including urgent pursuit, sacrificial service, intentional development, clear communication, complete alignment, and excellent execution. The individual must be highly organized, able to work efficiently with high output, and possess or be developing knowledge of items within their department(s). Key responsibilities include quickly and efficiently sorting, pricing, and stocking items, meeting processing goals, and maintaining a working knowledge of pricing and sales. The role also involves providing excellent customer service, performing opening/closing procedures, maintaining a clean workspace, and potentially assisting with receiving.

  • Have knowledge of or a growing knowledge of the items in their department(s)
  • Be decisive and able to quick and efficiently evaluate merchandise quality, price, and presentation
  • Able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds (depending on department)

Responsibilities

  • Greet every customer and treat them with respect, optimism and joy at all times
  • Answer any and all questions for customers
  • Assist with any customer needs
  • Escalate any customer service needs to Assistant Store Managers or Store Manager as needed
  • Share the vision and mission of Vapor Ministries with customers
  • Quickly and efficiently sort, price and stock items in your department(s)
  • Meet daily, weekly and monthly processing goals to drive revenue generation
  • Maintain a working knowledge of pricing, sales and goals for your department(s) and work with managers to adjust as needed based on revenue trends
  • If scheduled to open or close, perform and complete the opening/closing checklist procedures
  • Ensure a properly organized workspace during operating hours
  • Close department processing station and leave it organized, stocked, and ready to be used the next work day
  • If needed, provide backup for receiving during high traffic/high donation times or to assist in closing receiving during closing shifts
