About The Position

This role involves performing various operations to prepare component parts for bond prime application. The operator will work from detailed routers and written/oral instructions to hang, clean, etch, anodize, and re-kit component parts for bond assemblies. Key responsibilities include monitoring tank temperatures, verifying kit contents against parts lists, recording information on process logs, and using various hand tools. The operator is responsible for the quality of their own work and must be able to follow verbal instructions.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
  • Requires the use of simple arithmetic, simple blueprints, and some measuring instruments.
  • Must be able to follow verbal instructions.
  • Requires a minimum of three months experience in metal bond or of general related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of operations, working from detailed routers and written/oral instructions to hang, clean, etch, anodize, and re-kit component parts for bond assemblies.
  • Monitors tank temperatures and computer input start up cycles.
  • Verifies each kit contains the correct parts for hanging according to the Advanced Parts List.
  • Records assembly and item numbers on process log sheets.
  • Uses hand tools such as wire cutters, sanders, picks, and electric erasers.
  • Responsible for own work and the quality of own work.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
