About The Position

The Processing Specialist I maintains knowledge of and implements processes for payment products, including product development, balancing, settlement, and support systems. The role performs daily tasks associated with Payments and Prepaid products, assists with correspondence for the ITS Prepaid Payroll program, and supports clients with inquiries and problem resolution. The specialist researches issues, resolves them in a timely manner, and escalates them to a supervisor when appropriate. The role also provides departmental support during colleagues’ absences and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a business-related field.
• 1–3 years of experience as a teller or in a similar retail banking role, or at least 3 years of alternative work-related experience.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced data-entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and high proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Independent critical reasoning.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily tasks associated with Payments and Prepaid products, including reviewing reports, preparing correspondence, and settlement.
• Assist with correspondence related to the ITS Prepaid Payroll program.
• Respond professionally and calmly to client inquiries and assist with problem resolution.
• Research and resolve problems in a timely manner, escalating issues to a supervisor as appropriate.
• Provide support to others in the department during absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
