About The Position

Westamerica Bank is hiring a full-time Central Processing Specialist I/II. The role works 40 hours per week and supports ATM-related claim processing, settlement, and research. The specialist handles claims in accordance with applicable Visa and Star regulations, Federal Regulations E and Z, and bank policies and procedures. The position also provides technical and analytical support to other departments and branches, communicates with customers to verify transactions, and may assist with special projects and other job-related duties.

Requirements

• Be detail-oriented and ensure relevant facts and the effects of recommendations are identified.
• Maintain confidentiality of claim data and the individuals opening claims.
• Two to three years of progressive experience in banking operations is desired.
• Strong PC and math skills.
• Working knowledge of TS, Excel, and Word software.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple demands, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of compliance.
• Ability to make sound decisions and determine when to escalate issues to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Board and process ATM-related claims.
• Maintain working knowledge of Visa and Star claim regulations, Federal Regulations E and Z, and bank policies and procedures for resolving disputed transactions.
• Make outbound calls to customers to verify ATM transactions.
• Provide independent technical and analytical support to departments and branches.
• Perform ATM settlement and research.
• Participate in special projects and perform other job-related duties.
