The processing operator operates and adjusts all process equipment for smooth and productive operations; monitors lineflow and waste; corrects problems which affect quality and production costs; and makes line changes as directed by the production lead or team leader. This role involves maintaining safe work practices, changing water knives, performing waste evaluations and changing grader screens, operating and adjusting equipment, maintaining even lineflow, monitoring product quality, communicating with other personnel about line status and problems, understanding the function and hazards of cleaning chemicals, performing product testing procedures, working independently, shoveling product spills, completing production forms, and entering checks into a computer. Other job functions include sanitation of the area, breaking of other areas, performing weekend cleanup as assigned, and performing/participating in AMD drumbeats.
