Processing Machine Operator
About The Position
Mars is looking for a skilled Processing Machine Operator with troubleshooting and leadership abilities to take ownership of a production line's success. This role involves accountability for the performance of multiple machines, processes, and equipment, making key operational decisions to achieve target outputs and coordinate resources. The operator will be the first point of contact for technical issues, using mechanical training to lead troubleshooting and repair mechanical breakdowns. Additionally, this position includes coaching, training, and guiding associates on the line to ensure team success.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Formal mechanical training or a strong mechanical background is a must, with proven ability to lead machinery repairs.
Nice To Haves
- Experience leading, coaching, or coordinating a small team of associates.
- Experience working in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or a high-speed production environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accountability for the performance, efficiency, and output of multiple machines, processes, and equipment on your assigned line.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical breakdowns on various production machinery to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate and support a small team of operators and temporary associates, assisting them with daily production tasks to ensure line targets are met.
- Lead, train, and coach associates dedicated to your line, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
