About The Position

This role is for a Lead Operator who will be responsible for leading a team and ensuring smooth production operations in a chip manufacturing environment. The position involves overseeing the chip-frying process, mentoring a team, and maintaining quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, hot environments and prioritizes teamwork and safety.

Requirements

• Comfort working in a hot, fast-paced, and hands-on environment.
• Knowledge of GMPs, safety practices, and food handling (or a willingness to learn).
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet for your entire shift.
• Great communication skills and a team-first mindset.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in food production, frying, or supervising a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire chip-frying process.
• Mentor and support the team of Kettle Operators.
• Safely start up and shut down kettles.
• Monitor fryer oil levels.
• Set up and switch out slicer heads.
• Work closely with prep and packing teams.
• Maintain strict quality and food safety standards.
• Keep accurate logs and records.
• Identify and solve production issues.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized kettle room.
• Follow company policies, GMPs, and fire safety protocols.
• Assist wherever needed to ensure teamwork.

Benefits

• Pay rate: $23/hour. Pay includes base rate of $22/hr. + $0.75 Shift Differential
