Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Intermediate computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent mechanical skills.
  • Ability to work well with people.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-driven.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work overtime when needed.
  • Ability to attend trainings when needed.
  • Tasks performed by a supervisor with the exception of official discipline activities in preparation of covering for supervisor time off.
  • Tasks as assigned by the HP Hood leadership team.
  • Standing for long periods (a minimum of 12+ hours).
  • Walking for long periods.
  • Bending frequently.
  • Lifting heavy (50+ lbs) frequently.
  • Carrying heavy (40-60 lbs) frequently over distance.
  • Pushing/Pulling under 75 lbs without assistance frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively direct the actions of other crew members and communicate with all supervisors and managers.
  • Uphold quality, safety, and sanitation standards throughout the company.
  • Ensure that all required maintenance is performed or properly elevated to ensure future maintenance.
  • Communicate with other team members to ensure efficient plant operations.
  • Address training concerns of operations techs and leadership.
  • Address equipment concerns aggressively to minimize downtime.
  • Set up on-coming shift for a successful run.
  • Perform any duties necessary to support the team.
  • Conduct maintenance activities where required such as valve PMs, broken seal resealing, and 90-day resealing.
  • Monitor equipment for indications of impending problems and possible operational improvements.
  • Maintain food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.
  • Maintain food safety and quality CCP verification.
  • Be proficient in operations of all equipment in the assigned work area and step in where needed at any time.
