About The Position

Incumbents have substantial latitude in determining the best methods and procedures to follow to complete assignments. Tasks are broad in nature where considerable independent judgment and discretion are required. Strong initiative is required in resolving problems and making recommendations. May also be the entry level for the professional career path. Assignments are received in the form of results expected. Possesses broad knowledge of operations and logistics practices. Deals directly with immediate supervisor, co-workers and team members; engages in exchanges of factual information and provides some explanation in a problem solving capacity; interactions with external contacts, if applicable, require exchanging factual information and providing some explanation.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of warehouse, distribution, inventory control and shipping/receiving practices.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and ability to learn and use applications specific to this area.
  • Basic understanding of internal and external customer requirements.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize, and problem solve tasks which are limited in complexity to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools and warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and banders.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal customers.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Forklift is not required but would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and supports logistics processes such as Returned Material process.
  • Ensures transactions are approved, processed and issues resolved on a timely basis.
  • Understands and completes all paperwork and system updates to ensure integrity of inventory and financial records.
  • Provides ongoing support in resolving process/execution issues with both internal and external customers.
  • Ensures RMA and MDA returns are correct, documented and dispositioned.
  • Works with other functional areas to determine courses of action on materials i.e. Scrap, Rework.
