Process Technician

Classic Industries•Unity Township, PA

About The Position

The Process Technician independently supports and manages daily injection molding production processes while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. The role prepares jobs for production by setting up molds and presses, configuring robots, automation, auxiliary equipment, and material handling, and establishing, optimizing, and maintaining molding processes to meet quality, cycle-time, and production-efficiency standards. The technician monitors process performance, cycle times, scrap rates, and product quality; troubleshoots complex issues involving machinery, molds, robots, automation, auxiliary equipment, and process conditions; identifies root causes; and implements corrective actions to reduce downtime and scrap. The role also supports process development and continuous improvement, maintains setup sheets and process documentation, performs and records in-process quality checks, completes production records, and uses Maximo to manage maintenance work orders. Additional duties include in-press mold cleanings, coordinating mold maintenance, partnering with technical teams on production challenges and preventative maintenance, and providing guidance to junior technicians and production personnel. Initial training is Monday through Friday on day shift for approximately one month. The long-term schedule is a 12-hour 2/2/3 night shift.
