About The Position

Easypak is seeking a first-shift Tool Prep employee at its Reading, Pennsylvania facility. Easypak provides thermoformed plastic packaging for food, consumer goods, medical, and industrial applications. The role prepares and maintains tooling for production and works closely with the Tool Shop and Process Technician to support production readiness and reduce downtime. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
Strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a job requiring the use of tools for equipment changeover.
Demonstrated ability to drive a stand-up forklift.

Responsibilities

Become familiar with safety equipment and follow established safety practices.
Report safety hazards or violations to management immediately.
Thoroughly clean tooling in preparation for future production runs.
Prepare and assemble tooling for installation by the Process Technician.
Document tooling issues, tool locations, and die inventory.
Request or perform minor tooling repairs.
Safely store tooling in designated areas and maintain a spreadsheet of tool locations.
Maintain a clean work area.
Work closely with the Tool Shop to ensure tooling is in working condition.
Suggest improvements to reduce total downtime caused by tooling.
Adhere to Easypak's established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Perform other duties as assigned.
