About The Position

The Process Technician supports process development, product development, and research and development (R&D) at Lam Research. The role involves preparing wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) tests, setting up and operating processing equipment, conducting experiments and test runs, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting results to engineering teams to help optimize yield. The technician also provides technical support to process engineers and helps troubleshoot application lab tools and experiment setups.

Requirements

2–4 years of related experience.
Associate degree in a technical field, technical certificate, diploma, or higher in semiconductors, electronics, chemistry, mechanical, or a related field.
Ability to work in a cleanroom while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and a cleanroom suit or smock.
Foundational English communication skills, including reading and writing.
Ability to work a shift schedule.

Responsibilities

Support Process Engineers with preparation for WFE tests, equipment setup, experiments, data collection, and sample submissions.
Operate processing equipment and advanced tools using recipes defined by engineering teams.
Collect experiment results and capture measurements, including thin film, CD, wafer disposition performance, and chemistry properties analysis.
Process test runs and prepare records, charts, and schematics of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield optimization areas.
Provide technical assistance to process development teams and process engineers.
Assist with technical troubleshooting and identify improvement opportunities for application lab tools and experiment setups.
